Prof. Dr. Oliver Speck

Oliver Speck is head of the Dept. Biomedical Magnetic Resonance and serves as Dean of the Faculty for Natural Sciences. He develops, provides and applies novel methods for MR brain imaging with a focus on very high spatial resolution imaging at ultrahigh magnetic field strength. His department will operate the very first human 7T Connectome MRI, making Magdeburg the first and only site in Europe to operate two human 7T MRI. Human brain imaging will be a central research tool contributed by our C-I-R-C partner site.
